2007年11月晋升为教授，1984年7月毕业于云南师范大学数学系数学专业本科，获理学学士学位。2000年9月—2002年7月全脱产到云南大学数学系研究生课程班学习了2年，获云南大学研究生课程结业证书，2007年9月—2008年7月到北京大学数学科学学院访学1年，2013年9月—2014年1月到上海师范大学数理学院访学半年。
1984年8月—2000年3月在曲靖师范学校工作，2000年3月—2012年7月在曲靖师范学院工作，2012年7月以来在云南财经大学工作。2010年被上海师范大学评为硕士研究生导师，2011年被云南大学聘为硕士研究生导师，2013年被云南财经大学评为硕士研究生导师。
大学本科内容主要讲授《数学分析》、《微积分》、《高等数学》课程。硕士研究生内容主要讲授《微分方程定性理论》、《The Qualitative Methods and Numerical Simulations of Differential Equations》（微分方程定性方法和数值模拟）、《Bifurcation Theory of Limit Cycles》（极限环分支理论）、《广义Hamilton系统论文选读》课程。
从事于微分方程定性理论及动力系统的研究，主要从事于极限环问题的研究，研究微分方程极限环的上界与下界问题。发表论文40余篇，其中被SCI、EI、ISTP、MR收录30余篇。
主持在研国家自然科学基金项目“几类平面微分系统的极限环数目上下界及分布情况”(11761075)（2018年1月—2021年12月），主持完成了国家自然科学基金项目“扰动可积非哈密顿系统的极限环分支”(11161038)（2012年1月—2015年12月）；主持完成了云南省自然科学基金项目2项；主持完成了云南省教育厅基金项目3项。
2008年5月获北京大学“优秀学员”奖，2008年4月获“第八届云南省优秀科技论文（云锡）二等奖”。
